The Call to Adventure

I love adventure, with one stipulation -it has to be on my terms.

When you set out to summit a mountain you know you are going to face challenges and suffering so you are ready for it.  We call voluntary submission to challenges an adventure.  We call unexpected challenges suffering and misery.

What makes the difference in the label we place on the experience?  For the most part it’s perspective.  How much more exciting would life be if you started to look at challenges as an adventure?

God loves you so much that he wants to take you on an adventure with him.  All those challenges are mountains you get to climb.  Sure, you didn’t ask for the mountain and they didn’t come on your terms, but when you get the top you still get bragging rights!
