Will We Have Clothes in Heaven?

I had a dream last night that I came home and someone had stolen everything from my house – it was empty.  I went outside totally distraught and then someone drove up and pointed out that I was completely naked.

They say the important thing about your dreams is the emotions you felt during the dream.  Strange thing is, being naked wasn’t what bothered me – it was the fact that someone had stolen all my stuff.  Hmm…

I’ve got to make sure that doesn’t happen when I get to heaven.  Jesus points out I’m completely naked with nothing to show for the life I lived, but I’m concerned that he just burned up my digital camera.  Keeping priorities straight requires constant vigilance.

And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.… each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done…  (Hebrews 4:13, 1 Cor. 3:13)
